Research interests
My research focuses on the ecology and habitat use of birds. In particular, I investigate how land management influences habitat conditions and food resources for wetland species. I am interested in the interaction between habitat and species conservation and the interests of farmers, especially for protected bird species that depend on human management.
In the PaludiZentrale project, I analyse the effects of rewetting drained peatlands and implementing different paludiculture systems on biodiversity.
