December 15th 2022: HydroForMix study site inaugurated in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
Forests on hydromorphic sites have a very high ecological and hydrological value. However, the interaction of tree species mix and water balance has hardly been investigated in the forest community "hardwood floodplain". Therefore, an experimental and demonstration plot of the HydroForMix collaborative project was inaugurated on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022. Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania's Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Till Backhaus, and the Managing Director of the FNR, Dr. Andreas Schütte, were present.
