Activities
Within the PaludiZentrale project, I investigate the effects of rewetting and paludiculture on biodiversity. My main focus is the cross-project harmonisation of methods for zoological surveys in different model and demonstration projects. I also complement existing monitoring approaches with bioacoustic surveys and eDNA sampling.
Projects
PaludiZentrale – Central coordination of model and demonstration projects for peatland conservation, including the use of renewable raw materials from paludiculture (FPNR/BMEL, 2023–2032)
PRINCESS – Peatland Rewetting In Nitrogen-Contaminated Environments: Synergies and trade-offs between biodiversity, climate, water quality and society (ERA-Net/BMBF, 2021–2024)
Wilde Mulde – Revitalisation of a wild river landscape in Central Germany (BBV/BMBF, 2015–2020)
Since 2023: Research Associate at the University of Greifswald – Work Package 5, Biodiversity, PaludiZentrale
2021: Scientific internship conducting entomological surveys in the PRINCESS project (Zoological Museum Greifswald / Greifswald Mire Centre)
