About the MooreMotion

What?

Logo MooreMotion

Students of the University of Greifswald are organizing the second peatland conference in 2026. The event is once again sponsored by the Joachim Herz Foundation. This year’s theme is “MooreMotion – connect, protect, rewet.” We want to raise awareness about peatlands by connecting people with and without experience related to peatlands, so that we can work together on peatland conservation and learn more about rewetting. To achieve this, we initiated the MooreMotion last year, as peatlands are not only an essential part of our ecosystems in Greifswald but also play a major role globally in the fight against climate change as the most effective CO2 sinks!
