Research Interests

As a plant ecologist I am interested in the interplay of plants and their environment. I mainly use experiments to “understand the world from the perspective of a plant”. Currently I am working on spring and autumn phenology of trees and shrubs, it´s environmental drivers and its evolutionary adaptation. I study the induction and release of winter dormancy and its intra- and inter-specific variation. Detailed information about my main project can be found here.
