November 10th 2021: Scientists visiting the dendroecological lab
We welcome Nicolas Zanetta-Colombo (Heidelberg University) and Tomás Munoz-Salazar (Universidad Austral de Chile) who will be working in our lab for a fortnight. In their work the two guest scientists will investigate the density and chemistry of South American tree species.

10th of June 2021: ARS LEGENDI faculty award presented
In a formal online ceremony, Martin Wilmking accepted the 2020 Ars legendi Faculty Award in the Biology category on June 10, 2021.
The Ars legendi Faculty Award for Mathematics and Natural Sciences honours scientists who distinguish themselves through outstanding, innovative and exemplary achievements in teaching, counselling and support.
